About

The Maryland Institute for Progressive Policy recognizes the transformative power of public policy on people's well-being. Founded and led by brothers Nate and Adam Golden, we bring firsthand experience working with those most impacted by policy decisions to address critical issues affecting our state. Nate is a math teacher in Baltimore City Schools and Adam is a public defender in Baltimore City.

Our mission is to offer in-depth research on numerous pressing issues, arming progressive organizations and legislators with the tools needed to drive radical change in Maryland.

For progressive organizations or Marylanders interested in suggesting a report, we welcome your email at nate@mdipp.org. We do not accept commissioned reports to preserve the integrity and impartiality of our analysis.
